HOMERUN CONNECT
No one would argue that the installation of conduit and wire is assuredly the most labor intensive and costly method to install branch circuit homeruns. Most institutional owners still insist on this laborious method. However, most project specifications are now allowing more cost-effective options. The easiest cable solution is to install individual MC-cables for each circuit, or phase set. But this method too is inefficient, time-consuming and costly.
Electrical Prefab Systems is pleased to offer its Homerun Connect™ system. Suitable for virtually any project type, we will engineer and fabricate a branch circuit homerun solution per your project’s requirements:
Step 1: Obtain project drawings and specifications. We will discuss preliminary scheduling requirements with your management team.
Step 2: Evaluate branch circuiting requirements and engineer custom CAD drawings that identify junction box placement, cable routing and circuiting.
Step 3: Submit CAD drawings to your company for approval. Electrical Prefab Systems will ask that your field personnel physically verify individual cable lengths. Obstructions and other constructability issues must be considered, of course.
Step 4: After approved drawings are received, Electrical Prefab Systems will order large multi-conductor MC-cables from our cable manufacturer. The number of conductors, conductor size, and conductor colors will be specified; conductors will be numerically imprinted during manufacture as required.
Step 5: It is our objective to deliver the Homerun Connect™ just-in-time. Communicating with your management team, Electrical Prefab Systems will confirm final scheduling requirements and inquire about any last minute constructability issues that may affect cable lengths, circuitry, etc. Delivering just-in-time minimizes installation problems and losses due to theft.
Step 6: Homerun Connect™ is delivered to the job-site ready for installation. Each shipping container is clearly labeled indicating the floor and job-site area where it is to be installed. Installation drawings will be attached to the side of each shipping container.
Step 7: Field installation is performed by your crews referencing the furnished installation drawings. Every conductor will be numerically identified, on both ends. All junction boxes, cables and terminal strips are clearly and permanently identified for ease of installation. Just run and support cables, connect to distribution panelboards and connect individual branch circuits. Individual branch circuit conductors are easy connected to the supplied terminal blocks via push-in terminal blocks – no fork-terminals required.
And because you buy direct from Electrical Prefab Systems, the manufacturer, your company will save thousands as opposed to buying through the traditional electrical distribution chain. We welcome the opportunity to prepare a no-cost proposal for your project requirements.
